Marital Status: Single, no kids

Sylvain has worked on many levels in volleyball in Quebec, in Canada and overseas. As a coach, he has worked at many levels, including at the college (CCAA) level (Volontaires du collège de Sherbrooke) and in CIS (Vert et Or de l’université de Sherbrooke). He worked with many provincials teams (NCCP, Canada Games) either as an assistant coach or head coach. He worked as a professional coach in France (Gruissan). He was also involved as a course conductor for Volleyball Quebec, Volleyball Canada and the NCCP. As been a teacher at the Faculty of Physical Activity Sciences of the Sherbrooke University for 25 years (now retired).
