Born in Newfoundland, Sarah played at Memorial University in 1996-97 and competed in the 1997 Canada Games in Brandon, Manitoba. Afterwards, Sarah moved to Grande Prairie, AB and played at Grande Prairie Regional College between 1997-99. She began coaching at the club level and upon completion of her BEd/BPE combined degree from University of Alberta, Sarah coached several junior high and high school volleyball teams. Besides teaching full time at Whispering Ridge Community School, Sarah is the founder & coordinator of the GP Beach Volleyball League & club in Grande Prairie, AB.
