Playing Career: Played 5 years at the University of Alberta from 1996-2001. Moved onto a professional career in Europe for 11 years from 2001-2012, which included 4 summers with the British National Team leading up to the Olympic Games in London.

Nathan grew up in Athabasca, Alberta. He began his playing career with the Alberta Provincial Team from 1993-1997, which culminated at the Canada Games in Brandon in 1997. After he graduated from Edwin Parr Composite he went on to the University of Alberta. During his five year career he ended up with a National Championship and two Bronze Medals. He went overseas to play professional for 11 years and played in many countries (Germany, Denmark, Belgium, Cyprus, Finland, Slovenia, Switzerland, and England with the British National Team).
After he suffered an injury 2 months before the Olympics he began his career as a coach in which he was planning since 1997. Capilano University offered him a position in North Vancouver along with Volleyball Canada as part of the VCCE coaching staff. In his first year the Blues won a Provincial Title and 5th at the National Championships. Nathan was voted the PACWEST Coach of the Year.
He then went onto TRU and helped the transform the Women’s Volleyball Program in his four years as an Assistant Coach under Chad Grimm.
He is now the new Head Coach of University of Saskatchewan Huskies Men’s team.
