Maggie fell in love with the sport of volleyball in 1987 and began spending countless hours perfecting her skills in order to be the best. After making the U18 provincial team and participating in the Canada Summer Games, she had a tremendous college career, leading the RDC Queens to 3 national championships (placing 2nd in two of those championships) and taking the GPRC Wolves to another national championship after winning the ACAC provincial gold medal. Maggie was twice selected to the CCAA All-Star team, once in 1992 and ten years later in 2002. Although she loves playing the sport, coaching young players is now her new passion. Maggie began her coaching career working with athletes at the RDC summer volleyball camps. She also founded and coached the girls club program in Vermillion, AB, coached the junior girls’ teams at St. Gerard’s school and the Grande Prairie Christian School, and has been coaching with the South Peace Volleyball Club for the last 3 years. Her greatest joy is to share her gifts to help others to believe in themselves.
