Landon Thompson has dedicated over 25 years to developing athletes both in the classroom and in competitive sport. A passionate educator with the Calgary Catholic School District and Rocky View School Division, Landon has coached hockey, basketball, volleyball, and football at multiple levels, blending his teaching expertise with his lifelong love of sport.
Raised in Grande Prairie, AB, Landon began his coaching journey with the Wolves club program and Jasper Volleyball Camps. While attending the University of Alberta, he guided NAVC teams to back-to-back bronze medals at nationals. His career path took him to Cochrane, AB, where he coached with the Jaguars Volleyball Club, serving as Vice President and board member, and co-founded the Canmore Volleyball Camp. He has also coached multiple Volleyball Alberta Provincial Teams, winning gold at the Western Canada Elite Championship. Landon’s university coaching experience includes serving as an assistant with the University of Calgary Dinos and as Head Coach of the Olds College Broncos.
Beyond volleyball, Landon currently coaches with the Knights Hockey Association, Foundations Youth Basketball, So-Cal Basketball Association, NFL Flag Football, and HITT Volleyball Camps. His leadership has extended internationally, planning and leading sport travel, including a European summer hockey tour with Azorcan Tours.
