Andrew grew up in Central Alberta, going to Central Alberta Christian High School and falling in love with volleyball there. He started playing club volleyball with the Central Alberta Kings Volleyball Club, leading him to the Alberta Provincial Team. With the Provincial Team, Andrew attend the Junior Olympics in Austin, Texas, the team won a Gold medal in the Club Division. After high school, Andrew continued his volleyball career by attending Red Deer College, where he went on to win three Provincial Championships and three National Championships. Andrew is employed by the City of Lacombe, where he is the Computer and Information Services, department manager. He plays volleyball for fun with his kids and in small local tournaments while continuing to coach.
