Marcus Biesheuvel was born and raised in the Alberta Volleyball world, as his now Hall of Fame head coach, Ard Biesheuvel brought him along as he coached the LCI high school team to great success. Starting his playing career at age 11, Marcus would successfully medal at 3 individual provincial performances throughout his club and high school career. Marcus Also made the Team Alberta u17 team in his year, winning a silver medal at the Western Canadian Games. Marcus then went on to have a successful college career as a setter, retiring with a then at the time record of overall assists for the ACAC. He transitioned into coaching immediately after, Leading his club team to a Silver medal at provincials in his first year. Due to Covid Marcus’ coaching career has been put on hold.
