Ken has been a multisport coach, with a focus on volleyball for over 30 years. He has coached at the grassroots level, including junior and senior high, club U14 – U20, to university student athletes. As an Alberta Volleyball Association board member, he is chairman of the High Performance Committee for provincial volleyball. He has promoted and helped initiate the coaching mentorship program for coaches in Alberta. Born and raised in Edmonton/ Sherwood Park, he has just retired from teaching after 34 years and has become the first full time coach of the MacEwan University Women’s program after 10 years of running the program from the community.

  • 8 years ‘4A’ High School – 6 City Championships, 5 Provincial medals, 3 Provincial Championships 1993,1995,1998
  • 10 years ACAC – represented Alberta Conference 5 times at CCAA Nationals; 3 times finalists, 1 National Championship 2007
  • 1978-2012 Physical Education teacher, Social Studies teacher – Elk Island Public Schools
