Jenice Warkentin was born and raised in Peace River, Alberta and moved to Sexsmith, Alberta in 2002. She began her playing career in grade 11 and has had a variety of playing and coaching experiences since. She started her ACAC career in 2008 at Briercrest College where she played for 1 year and then moved to GPRCC where she played in the ACAC for another 2 years. From there she moved to the CIS where she finished out her last 2 years of eligibility at the U of A earned her education degree. She then spent a short stint with the National Team in the spring of 2012. She spent the summers of 2011 and 2012 coaching volleyball camps with Athletes in Action and U of A. In 2013, she took on her first teaching assignment in Grande Prairie at St. Joseph’s Catholic High School and has been teaching in Grande Prairie ever since. She currently works at Peace Wapiti Academy and enjoys being involved in the local volleyball community.
