Jae-Lyn has been involved in the volleyball world for eight years now. She played five years of indoor club volleyball with NAVC and Pandas Elite Volleyball Club. She has earned many indoor honours including being named to the Metro Edmonton High School All-Star team, as well as winning a bronze medal with Team Alberta at the Western Elite Championship. Jae-Lyn spent her first two years of eligibility playing as an outside hitter for Concordia University of Edmonton.
During this time Jae-Lyn realized her love for beach volleyball. During her first season of beach competition she was named to the Team Alberta Training Group. In 2016 she was named to the U21 Team Alberta Summer Games team.
In her third year of University Jae-Lyn decided to make the transition to her true passion – beach volleyball. She accepted a scholarship for Jacksonville State University, a D1 school in Alabama. During her first season there, she quickly found her way to the 1s pair, where she broke the schools total wins record, eventually finishing the season with the second most wins in program history. As the first athlete from Alberta to accept an NCAA beach volleyball scholarship, Jae-Lyn hopes to be leading the way for many athletes in the future.
Jae-Lyn returned to Edmonton in 2017 to finish her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Alberta and coach the U15 Pandas Volleyball Club team while assisting with the NOOKS U15 Mens Volleyball team. She led her U15 Pandas to a Provincial Championship as well as a Best of the West Championship.
