Craig began coaching at age 15 when he coached a grade 8 school team to a city championship. His parents were both high level coaches and his older sister played for one of the top clubs in Canada, so he grew up living and loving volleyball. After getting his level 1 coaching certification at age 17 he knew coaching professionally is what he wanted to do. He moved from his hometown of Surrey, BC out to Edmonton to pursue his coaching aspirations as a part of the University of Alberta Golden Bears program. After spending 2 years as a Libero he made the switch to his real goal of joining the coaching staff which he was a part of for 3 years. Once finished his degree he branched out to assistant coach at The King’s University for 2 seasons with only the men’s team and then a 3rd season with both the men’s and women’s programs. Craig has been coaching club both in BC and Alberta for 8 years and has coached at every single age group at least once. He is currently in school at the U of A in pursuit of his Master’s Degree in Coaching.
